One Girl, Five Worlds is a stop-motion animation project exploring five different aesthetics through one character. Five outfits represent five distinct styles: Street Style, Cottagecore, Girly, Baddie and Old Money. The presentation of the outfits is inspired by the social media trend “Outfit of the Day,” or OOTD.
The animation was created by recording each outfit and transforming the footage into cutout-style photographs, presented like stickers. Each look is paired with a custom background filled with illustrated stickers and visual elements representing its specific aesthetic, creating five distinct worlds around the same person.
The project explores how clothing, styling, and visual environments can transform the way a single character is perceived, showing five different identities through one girl.
